Benefits of Massage Therapy
are as individual as you are. Massage is a wonderful tool to help
you reach a higher degree of wellness. |
| |
|
As a certified Massage
Therapist, I specialize in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. By
Manipulating muscle tissue to release spasms, hyper contractions,
and stress, normal muscle tone can usually be restored. |
During a treatment session great care is taken to ensure your
comfort. Some treatment can be done while fully dressed, if you feel
more comfortable. Otherwise the body is never fully exposed. You
will be draped with sheets and only the area being worked is
uncovered.
There are different techniques used to address different areas of
concern. Highest quality oils will be used for all techniques. No
two massage sessions are exactly alike, as your needs will vary from
day to day. Your medical history is taken before treatment is done
to be sure there are no contraindications.
Massage is a wonderful tool to help you reach a higher degree of
wellness, and works well with other health modalities. Most that
have tried massage agree that this is one of the nicest things that
you can do for yourself. My clients range in age from 2 to 89, and
come in all shapes and sizes and have various needs. My clients come
for massages, but also learn to take better care of their bodies. |
 |
Many of my clients have some degree of
fibromyalgia (FMS). People with FMS usually ache all over,
sleep poorly, are stiff on walking and are tired all day. They are
prone to headaches, memory and concentration problems, dizziness,
numbness and tingling, itching, fluid retention, crampy abdominal or
pelvic pain and diarrhea. |

"I can't say enough good
about Patty Tharp. I refer her to everyone I meet who has any
type of muscular or joint pain. She is excellent. Once I started
seeing her for my sciatic nerve damage, I was able to
substantially reduce the pain medications and muscle relaxers I
was taking. I have been to many massage therapists and Patty is
by far the best ever."
